Facilities

 

 

We have a large playground, with a canopy for the younger children to play under and playing fields. The canopied area is also used by our Reception class for outside play in all weathers!

 

We have recently included Astro turf to a section of our playground, thus enabling children to play football safely all year round.

A tyre park was installed in the Autumn term 2008.

We strongly believe in taking care of our environment and have established an environmental and gardening club, which has developed certain areas of the grounds for vegetable patches and composting.

The school has the advantage of being on a shared site with Pewsey Vale Secondary School and the local Leisure Centre, giving us numerous opportunities and facilities such as direct access to the swimming pool and specialist teaching staff.

The school, through its links in the locality, is able to provide excellent sporting opportunities for the pupils through clubs and tournaments, leading to much success on a personal and team level. Please see our clubs page for further details for Spring term 2009.

The interior is warm. bright and welcoming.Our school extention, completed in 2007, offers quality additional space, dedicated library and a breakout classroom.

We have many colourful displays around the school, celebrating the children's success.

ACCESSIBILITY

We are very fortunate in that our school site is all on one level and has ramps for the majority of entrances (together with mobile ramps for fire escape access). We have wide doorways and a well appointed disabled
toilet - complete with shower.

We are able to cater for the needs of disabled pupils and several of our teaching assistants have received specialist training to be able to assist pupils with their mobility. We also have a new Accessibility Policy which details how we seek to make the curriculum accessible to all - please see office for details.
