Admissions
Should you require any support with applying for a school place at Pewsey Primary School, then please don't hesitate to contact our Admin Officer -
Mrs Helen Johnson - [email protected] or 01672 562083
You are always welcome to come and meet with the Executive Headteacher and have a look around our excellent school.
Our Admissions policy for the year 2023/24 and 2024/25 can be read here.
The timetable for Application, Entry & Appeal follows the Local Authority co-ordinated Scheme, more details can be found on Wiltshire Council's Website.
Reception aged children - If you want your child to have a place at our school, it is important that you apply through Wiltshire Council in the Autumn Term a year before the admission year's September. To do this you need to complete an online admissions form with Admissions at County Hall, Trowbridge. You should then receive notification that a place has been reserved for your child in the Spring prior to entry - see timetable.
Pupils other than Reception - Pupils other than Reception, who are seeking admission, also need to complete an online admissions form. We will be delighted to arrange an appointment for you to see our school and discuss your child’s future education. We can also guide you through the paper work.
When children first start school - Our school runs a comprehensive induction programme for new children and for their parents and carers. This gives the children the chance to spend at least three mornings in school with their future teacher during the term before they start. Pupils other than Reception age starting with us will be warmly welcomed and supported during their first few weeks. Their class teacher will appoint a ‘buddy’ from the class to look after them while they find their feet.
