Drop Off and Collection Arrangements

Dropping Off 

In the morning, when you drop off your children at 8.45 am we would like you to use the front gate please for all children in Year 1 - 6.

Reception children need to be dropped off at the playground gate and will be met by their teacher at the side entrance to the school.

When COVID restrictions permit, parents of pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Y2 are welcome to come into school with their child on a Monday and

Friday morning until 8.55am.

Collecting Children 

Reception, Year 1 and Year 4 pupils need to be collected from the playground.  The adult in charge of the class will dismiss the children directly

to you via their fire door/canopy doors.  Year 2 will be dismissed via the classroom fire door.   Year 3, 5 and 6 will be dismissed via the front

school gate by the adult in charge of the class to their parent/carer. 

Children will not be permitted to walk home alone unless this has been previously arranged via an email or letter to the school office.  We will

then only allow children in Year 5 & 6 to do this.  This also includes walking to the parking barrier outside Pewsey Vale school. 

Children will be dismissed to their parents/carers or a permitted adult only. 

You have all been asked to fill out a form (Please click here for a copy) to ensure we know who the adults are who have permission to collect your

children.  

It is your responsibility to inform us when your arrangements change. If you need to change the adults who can collect your children then

we require this in writing on a new form or in an email. 

It is also the responsibility of the parent to inform the office or a member of staff on the gate at drop off, if you need to change the

arrangements for your child at short notice e.g.: a play date.
